Skincare should not feel complicated.

Yet for many women, it has become exactly that.

There are thousands of products competing for our attention—each promising transformation, featuring the latest trending ingredient or suggesting that we need an increasingly complicated routine to achieve healthy-looking skin.

One serum for hydration. Another for texture. Another for radiance. Several different creams. Multiple active ingredients. Ten-step routines that are difficult to understand and even harder to maintain.

The result is often confusion, wasted products and skin that becomes overwhelmed rather than properly supported.

Academy Skin™ was created to offer a more thoughtful approach.

Who I Am

I’m Melissa Zimmerman, founder of Academy Skin™ and a clinician with more than 25 years of experience across the health, wellness and longevity industries.

Throughout my career, I have worked with women across health, nutrition, beauty, wellbeing and healthy ageing. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for the connection between how we feel, how we live and how our skin changes throughout life.

Our skin does not exist separately from the rest of us.

Hormonal changes, stress, sleep, nutrition, environmental exposure and the natural ageing process can all influence its appearance and condition. As women move through different stages of life—including perimenopause, menopause and mature age—the skin may become drier, more sensitive and more vulnerable to changes in collagen, elasticity and barrier function.

I created Academy Skin™ because I wanted women to have access to skincare that reflects this bigger picture.

Why We Created Academy Skin™

Academy Skin™ began with a simple belief: women should not have to choose between beautiful skincare and intelligent formulation.

The skincare industry offers an enormous number of choices, but more choice does not necessarily mean better care. Products are frequently developed around trends, complicated routines and individual ingredients without enough consideration for how they fit together or how they will support the skin over time.

We wanted to create something different.

Academy Skin™ is a clinician-created, peptide-focused skincare collection developed with simplicity, consistency and skin health at its core. Each product has been chosen to serve a clear purpose within the routine—helping cleanse, hydrate, nourish and support healthier-looking skin without requiring an overcrowded bathroom cabinet.

Our approach is not about adding more products. It is about creating a carefully considered collection that works together.
